# Troubleshooting

> If something looks wrong at the table, start here.

> [!NOTE]
> Start with `restart nobit_pool` in the server console, then look for a line starting with `[nobit_pool]` in the server console and the F8 console.

## No menu appears at a table

1. Check `ensure nobit_pool` is in your `server.cfg` and the folder is named exactly `nobit_pool`.
2. Check the table is a `prop_pooltable_02` or `prop_pooltable_3b`. Custom-modelled tables are not picked up — [add the spot](/docs/pool/tables) instead.
3. Check `mapTables = true`, or that the table is listed in `tables`.
4. Get closer: the menu opens within `promptDistance` (2.5 m by default).

## A table I added floats or sinks

The `z` value is off. Use the ground height under the middle of the table and adjust a few centimetres at a time.

## The keys don't match the hints

The hints always show what the server set in `keys`. If you changed a key and it does nothing, check it is a control **id** from the [FiveM controls list](https://docs.fivem.net/docs/game-references/controls/), not a key name.

## Text shows as keys like `title.yourTurn`

Your translation file is missing that line. Copy it back in from `en.json` — see [Translating](/docs/pool/translation).

## Players lose a match without leaving

They got further than `leaveDistance` from the table — often a teleport or a character switch. Raise `leaveDistance` if your interiors are cramped.

## Spectators don't see the game

They need to be within `watchDistance` (10 m by default) of the table.

## Something else

Restart the resource and read both consoles. If that turns up nothing, contact us on [Discord](https://discord.gg/GKbp7FtWWE) with the console line and what you were doing.
