# FAQ

> The questions people actually ask about nobit_pool.

## Setup

<details>

<summary>Do I need a framework like ESX, QBCore or Qbox?</summary>

No. It runs standalone on any FiveM server, with no database and no dependencies.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Does it work on the pool tables in my MLOs?</summary>

Yes, if they use the game's `prop_pooltable_02` or `prop_pooltable_3b`. They are found on their own while `mapTables = true`. For anywhere else, [add a table](/docs/pool/tables).

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can players bet money on a game?</summary>

Not built in. The script has no framework hooks, so it never touches anyone's money.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can a script kick a player out of a match?</summary>

Yes, from the client: `exports.nobit_pool:leave()`. It counts as leaving, so the opponent wins by forfeit.

</details>

## Gameplay

<details>

<summary>Can players cheat a shot?</summary>

No. The shooter sends only their aim, power and spin. The server plays the shot out with the same physics, applies the rules and sends the result to both players and everyone watching. Shot inputs, ball-in-hand spots and table reports are all checked and rate-limited.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I turn off the shot clock?</summary>

Yes — `shotClock = 0` in `config/config.lua`.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What happens if a player dies, disconnects or walks away?</summary>

They leave the match and their opponent wins by forfeit. How far "away" is, is `leaveDistance` in the config.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Why don't the pool sounds follow my game volume?</summary>

They are made live in the browser rather than played as game audio, so GTA's slider doesn't reach them. Set `volume` in the config instead.

</details>

## Performance

<details>

<summary>How heavy is it?</summary>

About 0.3 ms while a shot is playing out near you, and close to nothing when no one is playing.
