# Overview

> Documentation for nobit_map, the FiveM 3D map, minimap and pause menu replacement. Install, configure and hook your scripts into it.

**nobit\_map** replaces the map on your FiveM server. It gives your players three things:

* a **minimap** they set up themselves, instead of the game's default radar
* a **fullscreen map** they open with a key (`M` by default)
* a **pause menu** with your server's name and logo, their face, name and ID, the map, and their settings

All three are the same map, and every choice a player makes carries across all of them.

## What makes it different

| | |
| ------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **2D or 3D** | Flip the map into a 3D model of the city: buildings stand up, hills have shape, and the map is draped over them. |
| **Cayo Perico** | The island is on the map in 2D and 3D, in every style. |
| **Postal codes** | The standard postal set, drawn on the map and searchable. |
| **Works with your scripts** | Blips from any other resource show up on their own. One line in their manifest brings across their names and sizes too. |
| **Real walking routes** | GTA normally won't draw a route on foot. This one does. Boats and aircraft get a direct line instead. |
| **Players make it theirs** | Map style, 2D/3D, theme colour, minimap shape, size, corner, zoom and rotation — saved between sessions. |
| **Light** | Around 0.02–0.03 ms on resmon. |
